After Sun Disaster | Storytime

Hello lovelies, today I am writing a bit of a different post apposed to normal with a situation that I found myself in on holiday (que rather embasassing, but hugely funny story of me!)

To all you who don’t know me, I am an embarrassment, redidulaisy clumsy and always end up doing stupid things and bed luck seems to follow around. However at the age of 19 I have learnt to embrace my unluckiness (clumsiness) and just embrace it and laugh about it! Hence todays post, I felt like it was a good idea to share my story in the case that it may help you guys out and prevent you from doing what I did!

So, on my summer holiday this year I managed to get very badly sunburnt legs! Even with wearing suncream and sitting in the shade, my skin is just so sensitive I managed to get burnt. The pain of the sunburn left me with the good idea of putting loads and loads of after sun on them in the attempt to make them better! And yes, the after sun did work in terms of cooling them down and making them feel better. However, what I did not read on the bottle of the after sun is that it contain tanning ingredients! The result? My sunburnt legs then turning bright orange and being left to look like burnt cheese puffs! (Think Angus, thongs and perfect snogging  – mine were worse!) Honestly the worst possible look you could imagine, it was awful! What made it worse was that I had put over half the bottle on just my legs in one day! Not quite the gradual, sun kissed colour the bottle had promised! Instead burnt cheese puffs was the look I was rocking!

The moral of the story? Firstly try not to get sunburnt in the first place! Secondly make sure you read the entire bottle before applying anything to the skin! And lastly don’t apply half of the bottle in one day! I hope you find this post some what amusing, my family certainly did on holiday! And make sure that you do not make the same mistake as I did!
