The Ordinary is an evolving collection of treatments offering familiar, effective clinical technologies positioned to raise pricing and communication integrity in skincare. The brand was created to celebrate integrity in its most humble and true form. Its offering is pioneering, not in the familiar technologies it uses, but in its honesty and integrity. The Ordinary is born to disallow commodity to be disguised as ingenuity. The Ordinary is “Clinical formulations with integrity”.
There has been a lot of hype on social media about the new brand – The Ordinary – so I thought I would give it a try to see what the fuss is all about. The Ordinary is a very simplistic brand in terms of ingredients and pride themselves for only including necessary ingredients in the right concentrated amount. Skincare is becoming increasingly important to me, and I love the idea of applying products for a specific use without a bunch of fussy ingredients that attempt to make the product sound better and sell. The brand also comes with an incredibly affordable price point – meaning that there’s not much to lose if you want to give it a try! I purchased these products on ASOS as well as in Deciem store at Spitalfields Market, London.
- High-Adherence Silicone Primer
- Lactic Acid 10%
- Vitamin C Suspension 23%
- Glycolic Acid 7% Toning Solution
Out of the 4 I have been loving the primer the most – I use it every morning and find that it really does help my makeup to stay on ALL day, more than any other primer I have already tried.
The Vitamin C cream has also been amazing, Vitamin C is amazing for moisturizing your skin and in this form really does help! It does have a very strange consistency that took a while of my to get used to applying but it has been working wonders. When rubbing the cream into your skin it begins to feel slightly bitty and rough, to help with this is mix it with a little of normal moisturizer to help out with the texture.
Overall I have been very pleased with the outcome from all of these products and am definitely going to be trying out some more from the range. Full views of each one product will also being coming up very soon!
